Anthony Brown
Anthony is a life long resident of Cumberland County and graduated from Cumberland County High School in
1985. Anthony has deep roots in the community. He has served in law enforcement since 1990 when he began his career at the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department in Tennessee. During this time he has served as a corrections officer for 6 years, 17 years as a Patrol Officer, 3 1/3 years as a Magistrate, 3 years as Patrol Sergeant and now serves as the Chief of Police with Lake Tansi Department. Anthony first came to work at the Lake Tansi Police Department in 1995. During his career, he has received more than one thousand and two hundred hours of law enforcement training. He has received training in all areas of law enforcement including but not limited to training in basic police patrol, domestic violence, child sex abuse, emergency vehicle operations, DUI enforcement, emergency response to nuclear disasters, traffic accident investigation, dealing with the mentally ill during a crisis, active shooter training, and much more. In 2018, Anthony received a certificate from the
University of Tennessee Law Enforcement Innovation Center in Crime Scene Investigations. Since becoming
Chief Of Police in Lake Tansi, he is pursuing additional training in leadership and management. Anthony
considers it to be an honor to serve the Lake Tansi community as their Chief of Police and is working every day
to build the Department into what he knows it has the potential to be. His number one priority is keeping the
residents of Lake Tansi safe and protecting their property.
