John Nesteruk came to work with the Lake Tansi Police Department as Reserve Officer in January of 2023. He has lived in Cumberland County for 9 years part-time and 4 years full-time. He grew up in Fort Lauderdale Flordia and graduated from South Plantation High School. He graduated from Union Institute and University with a BA Degree. He has been married to his wife Rhonda Nesteruk for 35 years.

 He was a sheriffs deputy with the Broward County Sheriff's Office for 30 years and retired in 2012 as a major in DLE. He was also a sworn Reserve Deputy with the Palm County Beach Sheriff's Office for 2 years. He attended the Southern Police Institute in Louisville KY and the executive leadership program in Boston Massachuetts. John also worked as a corrections officer.

In his off-time, John enjoys skeet shooting, coin collecting and FOCUS Rescue. With Johns many years of experience and passion for this department, he is a great addition to the team and we are glad to welcome him to the family.
